The München Tourismus marketing kick-off event

München Tourismus held its first marketing kick-off event on April 11, 2019. The event was aimed at service providers in Munich’s tourism sector and cooperation partners in the surrounding area. München Tourismus presented its new advertising guidelines, inviting the participants to make a concentrated and efficient start to their joint product development.

The kick-off event will now be held every year in spring to address specific sales themes and areas of potential for the following year, and to discuss these with service providers and partners from Munich’s tourism and culture sectors. The aim is to design new travel packages for the main areas of tourism advertising and to make them bookable on these pages.

The campaigns for the “Kulturherbst” (Autumn of Culture) and the spring in Munich have been successfully promoted in recent years as part of the “simply light” theme, making visitors aware of our wide range of sophisticated culture, creativity and innovation.

And München Tourismus will be promoting its new “simply sporty” theme in 2020, which promises more “mobility” in the destination’s marketing efforts.

The new “simply sporty” advertising guideline offers lots of advantages for our joint marketing communications. Munich will host several international sports events and tournaments over the next few years, which will generate a great deal of global attention. Munich constantly proves its worth as a sporty, hospitable and cosmopolitan city. It doesn’t matter whether you join in the action or just bask in the excitement – sport is all about inspiration, participation and motivation! Sport inspires people throughout the year; sport is a theme that connects the city and its surroundings; and sport has an international reach.

You can find all the details of the advertising guidelines for the travel year 2020 in the presentation from the marketing kick-off event. The product design is really simple, as the following video shows: How do you pack travel packages?
