What to expect on your weekend

Friday: Design hotel, Bavarian cuisine reinterpreted

You will stay either in the traditional Hotel Platzl in the middle of the historic old town or in the modern design hotel Schiller5. This is located in Ludwigsvorstadt, one of the most cosmopolitan districts of the city, and is only two S-Bahn stations away from Marienplatz. The included München Card gives you free travel!

The restaurant Pfistermühle is an architectural and gastronomic highlight with its gothic vault from the 16th century, where you will have dinner the day of your arrival. The former court mill of the Wittelsbacher dukes stands for Bavarian top cuisine, the recipes from old times are interpreted in a modern and creative way. After your 4-course menu, stroll through the alleys of Munich and let yourself drift!

Saturday: pleasure trip through Munich, GOP Varieté Theater and menu

On Saturday morning you will go on a historical-culinary discovery tour through the old town with an experienced Munich expert from EssKulTour - enjoyment guaranteed! The walk takes you across the Marienplatz to the Viktualienmarkt, Munich's land of plenty. In the Eataly you can taste why Munich is considered the northernmost city in Italy. The walk continues to the Platzl, which neither a Munich resident nor a Munich visitor can pass by. More will not be revealed at this point!

Now you can look forward to an entertaining evening program at the GOP! The Varieté Theater (vaudeville theatre) offers a successful mixture of first-class artistry, poetry and comedy, appealing to all the senses. You will be amazed, hold your breath, laugh and enjoy an excellent 2-course menu in a stylish ambience.

Sunday: Jazz brunch at Park Café

Sundays are the classic time for brunch - and for this you should always choose a special place. We have chosen the Park Café. This legendary place was originally a coffee house and exhibition pavilion, later one of the hippest discotheques in town. Today it is a Bavarian restaurant with lounge bar and beer garden right next to the Alter Botanischer Garten (park). Live jazz included!
