I was born in Munich-Pasing, grew up in Aubing and now reside in Haidhausen district.
The taste of Munich:
Munich tastes like pretzels and Spezi (a mix of Coca-Cola and orange juice) – crisp, fresh and sweet.
The sounds of Munich:
My favourite sounds are the gentle murmur of the Isar river, the lively chatter in the beer gardens or the various kinds of live music.

Whether it's Schloss Nymphenburg (palace), a cosy Bavarian tavern – known as Boazn – , or Theatinerkirche (church) – it's the mix that makes it!
As an ambassador, I would like to dispel this misconception about Munich:
You don't need to be exceptionally wealthy to feel at home in Munich.

Isar oder Eisbach?
I adore the Isar river any time of the day or year.
Biergarten oder Bar?
First a visit to the beer garden, followed by a bar. And repeat.

Brass music in all its variety.
Lederhosen/Dirndl: ja oder nein?
I think that Tracht (traditional dress) is great, because with a well-fitting dirndl (women's traditional Bavarian dress), you are always well-dressed.
Auf die Berge oder an die Seen am Wochenende?
I love visiting the beautiful lakes, and as a freelancer, I prefer the weekdays when it's less crowded.
When I'm away from Munich, I often proudly share this fact about the city:
In the Westpark you can spot the most impressive wolpertingers (mythical German creature) hopping about at midnight under a full moon.

The Oidn Wiesn (traditional part of the Oktoberfest) in the Herzkasperl tent, enjoying folk dance with the Well-Buam band.

Picnic in the Rosengarten (park) or at Olympiapark (Olympic Park) when the cherry trees are in full blossom.
